Rosa Mexicano Lincoln Center

Rosa Mexicano Lincoln Center

Mexican

The very first Rosa Mexicano on the Upper East Side was opened by Josefina Howard in 1984. Since then her festive restaurant has opened in 13 locations from Miami to Los Angeles. Our Lincoln Center location was the second Rosa Mexicano to open in July 2000. Just steps away from Lincoln Center Theater, this David Rockwell-designed space features a 30-foot iridescent blue tile water wall that spans both levels of the restaurant and is adorned with 240 miniature cliff divers. On the menu, hungry diners will find an array of authentic dishes, from grilled skirt steak and salmon Poblano to slow-braised carnitas and mahi mahi tacos. Ingredients for these fiery dishes are sourced from local farms and artisans whenever possible, ensuring that each bite is fresh and flavorful. Rosa Mexicano is perhaps most well known for their guacamole, prepared tableside for diners to see. According to Martha Stewart, it’s “the best guacamole in the world.” And the Lincoln Center location offers a tasty way to wash it all down, with some 50 agave spirits on offer.
