This Martin Luther King Day we reflect on the activism the great civil rights leader both built upon and inspired in Central Park. Two opportunities to watch: Saturday, January 15, 10:00am and Monday, January 17, 1:00pm. From dissent over the use of eminent domain to take the land that would become Central Park in the 1800s to the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020, this virtual program will reveal the many ways Central Park has and continues to be a place where people from all walks of life feel empowered to exercise their right to freedom of speech, peacefully protest, and take a stand for what they believe in.

This is a virtual program that takes place over Zoom. Closed captioning is available. Only one ticket per group necessary. Please note: registration confirmation may be diverted to your junk mail.
