This event will take place in person at the Library for the Performing Arts.

The Tony-nominated musical Mr. Saturday Night includes the first full Jason Robert Brown score on Broadway since Honeymoon in Vegas opened in 2015. To mark the occasion, and in honor of over a quarter century of scores that have introduced a generation of artists and fans to musical theatre, the Library for the Performing Arts celebrates the musicals of Jason Robert Brown in a live event. The evening will include an interview with Brown and feature video clips from his shows documented in the Theatre on Film and Tape Archive.

The program will include a special performance by Mr. Saturday Night's Shoshana Bean.

Jason Robert Brown is the ultimate multi-hyphenate—an equally skilled composer, lyricist, conductor, arranger, and pianist best known for his dazzling scores to several of the most renowned musicals of our time, including the generation-defining The Last Five YearsSongs for a New World13 (coming to Netflix this summer), The Bridges of Madison County (2014 Tony Award for Best Score), Honeymoon In Vegas, and the seminal Parade, for which he won the 1999 Tony Award for Best Score. He is a 2022 Tony nominee for his score for Mr. Saturday Night (written with lyricist Amanda Green). His newest musical, The Connector, opens off-Broadway this winter.

The Library encourages mask wearing in all public spaces.
