Fran Vielma and his all-star Venezuelan Jazz Collective present new original works and a tribute to the Venezuelan Song Book featuring Jeremy Bosch on vocals. 

Hailing from the Venezuelan Andes, Fran Vielma is a critically acclaimed and multi-award-winning percussionist, composer, and educator. His continuous research on the rhythms of America, and beyond, converges in his works combining concert music and the freedom of jazz. The Venezuelan Jazz Collective’ is an innovative jazz ensemble composed of an outstanding cast of world-class musicians based in the United States. Their awareness of the jazz tradition and an upbringing surrounded by Caribbean, South American, and world music allows these performers to go from one idiom to the other with masterful spontaneity and musicianship

Vielma was recently awarded the Chamber Music America - New Jazz Works commission and DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities 2022 Fellowship.
