The New York City Department of Design and Construction (NYC DDC) has sent a community advisory about a change in traffic pattern on Amsterdam Avenue between West 58th and West 63rd Street. Beginning on or about Monday, February 27 three lanes of traffic shall be maintained along Amsterdam Avenue. Traffic will be shifted as required by work locations. One pedestrian crosswalk may be fully closed at times, other crosswalks will be maintained during working hours.
Traffic agents and uniformed flaggers will be on site to assist in the transition. Temporary closures may be necessary at times.

The New York City Department of Design and Construction (NYC DDC) has issued a Weekly Bulletin regarding the installation of trunk water mains along W. 60th Street and the surrounding areas. On Monday, February 20, President's Day, there will be a large demonstration taking place at Columbus Circle and along Central Park West. The demonstration is scheduled to begin at noon and end around 4:00pm. It will have a major impact on the Lincoln Square neighborhood.
According to the New York City Mayor's Office of Citywide Event Coordination Management (CECM), the President's Day demonstration will draw nearly 11,000 people to the Columbus Circle area. Starting Sunday, February 19 no parking will be allowed along Central Park West from 61st Street to 68th Street as well as along several other side streets. Any cars remaining in the area will be towed. Columbus Circle and parts of Central Park West will be closed to traffic during the demonstration. Additional street or sidewalk closures may occur based on NYPD's determination.
