Alternate Side Parking Suspension
Alternate Side Parking is suspended on Friday, May 22, and Saturday, May 23, for Shavuoth and Monday, May 25, for Memorial Day. On Memorial Day, you can park at a No Stopping, No Standing, or No Parking sign if the rule is not normally in effect seven days a week (for example, No Standing Anytime). Otherwise, you cannot. Parking meter regulations are also suspended on Monday.

Memorial Day Sanitation Service Notice
There will be no trash, curbside composting, or recycling collection on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day. Residents who normally receive Monday trash, curbside composting, or recycling collection may place their material at the curb Monday evening, for collection beginning Tuesday, May 26. Please note that residents may experience collection delays as the NYC Department of Sanitation works to collect the backlog of material. Click here for more details.
Con Edison Work Notices
Due to Con Edison gas work, West 64th Street between Broadway and Columbus Avenue will be closed to through traffic Monday through Friday between 9:30am and 3:30pm, now through Friday, July 31.
Con Edison is performing a Gas Upgrade on West 68th Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West, with work expected through Wednesday, September 30. Please expect limited street parking, temporary lane/bike lane closure, noise, and generator(s). The work schedule is as follows: Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 4:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, and Sunday from 9:00am to 6:00pm. The reference number is 26-03335.
West 67th Street Closure
From Friday, May 22, through Friday, May 29, West 67th Street between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue will be closed from 9:00am to 4:00pm for a building inspection involving a boom truck.
Update on Extell’s 67th Street Redevelopment
From Monday, May 11, through Sunday, May 24, the scope of work at Extell’s 67th Street Redevelopment includes the demolition of the existing buildings located at 147 Columbus Avenue, 149 Columbus Avenue, 77 West 66th Street, 47 West 66th Street, and 30 West 67th Street of the former ABC/Disney Campus. FIFA World Cup 2026™ “Welcome World Rewards Program”:
The New York New Jersey Host Committee has launched the Welcome World Rewards Program, a region-wide initiative designed to connect residents and visitors with participating small businesses through a digital experience that rewards neighborhood exploration, drives foot traffic, and highlights the diverse commercial corridors that define communities across New York and New Jersey.
The Welcome World Rewards Program is free and easy to use for both businesses and fans:
Small businesses opt in at no cost through a simple application process, which is now open and can be accessed via the NYNJ Host Committee’s website.
Fans engage with participating businesses through digital check-ins and collect points in a digital wallet that are redeemable for prizes.
Businesses may extend fan-friendly promotions such as discounts or tournament-themed specials, or other offers.

NYC Restaurant Academy
NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) is offering the NYC Restaurant Academy, a free three-part course for aspiring food business owners and early-stage food and beverage operators.
Participants will learn how to plan, launch, and operate a successful NYC restaurant or food service business, with guidance on compliance, financing, operations, and business planning from industry experts.
The program includes three sessions:

Cost of Doing Business in NYC Survey
The NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) is inviting small business owners to participate in the 2026 Cost of Doing Business in NYC Survey to better understand the cost experience of small businesses over the past 12 months.
