During these difficult times as the COVID-19 crisis continues, the New York City Department of Education (DOE) has committed to making three free meals available daily for any New Yorker at more than 400 Meal Hubs across the city. These "Grab and Go" meals are available Monday through Friday, from 7:30am-1:30pm (Meals Hubs will operate for children and families from 7:30am-1:30pm, and for adults from 11:30am to 1:30pm). These meals will all offer vegetarian and halal options at each site. You can find menus for the program here

DOE says that no one will be turned away at any time and that no registration, ID, or documentation is required. All three meals a day may be picked up at the same time, however no dining space is available, so meals must be eaten off premises. Parents and guardians may pick up meals for their children‎.

In the Lincoln Square area, MLK's High School for Law, Advocacy and Community Justice (122 Amsterdam Avenue) is a designated Meal Hub. Click here to search for other locations around the city.
