Outdoor dining began on Monday, June 22, and many of Lincoln Square’s eateries have opened their doors.

If you are out and about in Lincoln Square and are wondering what is open, check out our new Where to Eat posters located around the district. Simply scan the QR code on the poster with your smart phone to find a regularly-updated list of restaurants open in the neighborhood. Another resource to find open dining options is the NYC Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Open Restaurants Map & Dashboard. Please note that this map may not include restaurants that already offered sidewalk dining pre-COVID-19.

Below is a list of restaurants that are currently open for outdoor dining:

And, for restaurants, DOT has issued new guidelines for Open Restaurants that are focused on the use of roadways for additional seating space in outdoor dining. It is our understanding that DOT is sending inspectors to restaurants throughout the city to ensure that they are following the proper criteria for outdoor dining. Click here to ensure that your restaurant is operating in accordance to the City's guidelines. Also, the Hospitality Alliance has compiled useful information on outdoor dining compliance and information on liquor licenses, and check out ConEd’s outdoor dining safety requirements. Be sure to review them so that you are in compliance.

As a restaurant, if you have individual questions or need additional assistance, you can contact the SBS hotline at 888-SBS-4NYC (888-727-4692).  We have also been trying to seek answers from multiple City agencies to provide clarity on the rules. When we receive any new information, we will share it with you so that you can ensure compliance with the regulations.
