A Gamechanging Lighting Display in Lincoln Square

The verdict is in! After receiving your emails of praise and accolades from numerous publications (top ten holiday lights, according to TimeOut!), it’s clear that the Lincoln Square BID’s holiday lighting program this year was a success.

Magical Lights was a game changer. This interactive lighting display lit Dante Park’s trees in streams of changing colors. The lights went live at our first holiday event of the season on December 5. We kept spirits high all month long as carolers sung in front of our beautiful lights. Then, on December 21, we brought back the WinteRamble for its second year. This illuminated community procession of Frost Giant puppets and icicle lanterns led by Processional Arts Workshop is now a neighborhood tradition. Over 200 revelers joined us as we processed through the neighborhood, carrying the iconic puppets and lanterns to the sound of whimsical chimes.

We’d like to give a heartfelt thank you to our generous sponsors, dedicated volunteers, and all those who participated in the WinteRamble. We encourage everyone to make sure they see the Magical Lights, on display in Dante Park (Broadway & W 64th Street) through at least the end of the month.
