Businesses Have the Chance to Team Up with the NYPD

In May, Mayor Adams announced a new pilot program aimed at combatting retail theft, creating efficiencies, and improving relations between police and the communities they serve.

The pilot, community-based security camera integration program, gives businesses the opportunity to share information in real-time with the NYPD using existing closed-circuit television cameras. This free, optional program is capable of accommodating roughly 1,000 cameras per precinct. It is part of the Adams’ administration's push to protect public safety and decrease crime.
