Women Entrepreneurs NYC Events

Women Entrepreneurs NYC (WE NYC) is an initiative of the NYC Department of Small Business Services dedicated to helping women start and grow their businesses. NYC Emergency Management's 2023 Symposium 

Join NYC Emergency Management Community Preparedness for the 2023 Symposium - A New Standard: Communities Ahead of Emergencies on Tuesday, March 7, from 9:00am - 3:00pm. Each workshop will discuss how communities can support their neighbors before and after an emergency, including those with disabilities and others with access and functional needs, like older New Yorkers and immigrant communities. Alternate Side Parking

 

Alternate side parking (street cleaning) regulations are suspended on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, for Purim. Parking meters remain in effect.

Apply for Manhattan Community Board

 

Community Boards are the independent and representative voices of their communities. The Boards are pivotal in shaping their communities and work to enhance and preserve the character of the city’s many unique neighborhoods. Building "Greening" Workshop

 

Buildings are the single largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in NYC, and Local Law 97 sets limits on emission levels from buildings over 25,000 sq. ft. starting in 2024. On Tuesday, March 21, from 10:00am - 12:00pm, you can learn what steps your building should take now from the New York City Accelerator and Department of Buildings. “Commissioner for a Day” Essay Contest

 

All New York City high-school students are invited to participate in the third annual NYC Emergency Management “Commissioner for a Day” essay contest. The NYC Emergency Management Commissioner will select the winner, who will be invited to NYC Emergency Management headquarters to participate in the Commissioner for a Day Award Ceremony. Entrants must submit an original essay and complete the application by Saturday, April 1. Click here for more details and the application.

NYPD Scam Hotline

 

The NYPD has established a scam hotline to help those who receive requests for money to verify whether the request is a scam or not. You can call the hotline at (646) 610-7226. Watch this video to learn more.
