Traffic Advisories

From Wednesday, September 27 through Friday, September 29, there is paving scheduled overnight in Lincoln Square on West 60th Street between Broadway and West End Avenue, and the street will be closed to vehicular traffic.

New Rule Requires Businesses to Containerize Trash

New Map Reflects Overlapping Community & City Council Districts

Free West Side Flu Shot Day

Assemblymember Linda B. Rosenthal’s annual free West Side Flu Shot Day with Mount Sinai Health Systems will be on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The event will take place at her district office, which is located at 230 West 72nd Street (between Broadway and West End Avenue). Public Hearing on Proposed Rules Relating to Motorized Micromobility

On Monday, October 16 at 11:00am, the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection will hold a public hearing on proposed rules meant to clarify the definition of an “accredited testing laboratory.” Learn more about how to participate or comment here.

New Training Program Available to Businesses

The NYC Department of Small Business Services created a Customized Training program that allows NYC businesses to train their staff. This is a competitive, reimbursable grant that is meant to help businesses reduce employee turnover, develop employee skills, and more. Learn more about the program or register to attend the next info session.  

Job Opportunities Via the West Side Work Coalition

A new partnership between City Council Member Erik Bottcher, the West Side Work Coalition, Hudson Guild, Greenwich House, and the NYC Employment and Training Coalition will support the development of new and dynamic training programs for future jobs.
