Fresh, Friendly, and Fun: Shake Shack Opens in Lincoln Square
Oct 10, 2024New neighbor alert: Shake Shack has opened its doors in Lincoln Square! This fast-casual eatery, located on the 3rd floor of The Shops at Columbus Circle (10 Columbus Circle), has already amassed a cult following. The brand’s commitment to community, quality, and innovation has earned it a loyal customer base; according to General Manager Artur (“Art”) Szymanski, the staff at the Columbus Circle location has already begun to recognize some morning “regulars.”
Shake Shack is the third fast-casual restaurant to join The Shops at Columbus Circle’s Restaurant & Bar Collection, which also includes fan favorites Tartinery and Bāng Bar. Known for its gourmet take on classic American food, Shake Shack Columbus Circle bears comfortable seating, a vibrant mural painted by Brooklyn-based artist Spencer Gabor, delicious burgers, fries, and milkshakes, and a distinct community feel.
The eatery’s bright, welcoming decor is complimented by servers who are genuinely excited to welcome guests to the burger joint. The team smiles and cracks light-hearted jokes, greeting returning customers by name and recommending menu items to first-time visitors (Pro tip: Art recommends ordering a Shack Burger, cheesy fries, and a classic vanilla milkshake on your first visit).
The Shack’s mission is “to stand for something good.” This goodness is reflected both in the caliber of the Shack’s ingredients, which are delivered fresh six days a week, and the ways in which the fast-casual chain interacts with and engages its community. “We want to be more than just a food stop,” says Szymanski. “We want to be active in our community.” Shake Shack, founded by the legendary restaurateur Danny Meyer, has always been civic minded. They are sure to be great neighbors and partners to other businesses in the community. You won’t want to miss this newest addition to our neighborhood, but don’t take our word for it; go experience Shake Shack for yourself!
Shake Shack started as a humble hot dog cart in Madison Square Park in 2001. It has since seen astronomical growth, with the Columbus Circle location marking the burger joint’s thirty-fifth opening in NYC alone. It is an exciting addition to Lincoln Square's already rich culinary landscape, which boasts renowned casual and fine dining destinations.
