Lincoln Square is a One-Stop Shop for One-of-a-Kind Holiday Items

Looking for something unique this shopping season? Whether you're buying gifts for others or items for yourself, Lincoln Square is a one-stop shop for one-of-a-kind pieces for the holidays.

Mark the official start of the 2022 holiday season with a visit to the Urbanspace Columbus Circle Holiday Market, internationally known as one of the most elegant and beautiful places for holiday shopping. The Holiday Market opens November 29th right outside Central Park's southwest entrance at 59th Street and runs through December 24th. 130 local artisans and vendors featuring art, jewelry, and delicious food will be present this year. For a full list of vendors and more details, click here. You can visit the Holiday Market Monday – Saturday from 11am – 8pm and Sunday from 11am – 7pm. It's the perfect place to enjoy festive foods, purchase gifts, and get in the holiday spirit. Don't miss out; the Holiday Market closes on Christmas Eve!

The year's 44th Annual ArtWorks Holiday Pottery Show & Sale at the West Side YMCA will take place from Thursday, December 8th through Saturday, December 10th. For three days in December, 28 ArtWorks students, assistants, and teachers will be selling their one-of-a-kind ceramic art pieces. It’s the ideal time to purchase an original piece of art with real value and lasting impact at an affordable price. Twenty percent of all proceeds will be donated back to the Y to fund programs. The event is free to attend and held in the Y’s George Washington Lounge at 5 West 63rd Street. If you plan to buy an item, it's cash or check only. For more information on the fair, contact Caroline Sanchez at (212) 912-2640. Click here for a PDF flyer.

You can also find unique gifts at Lincoln Square’s museums! For one-of-a-kind art, jewelry gifts, home decor, and more stop into the museum shops at the American Folk Art Museum (2 Lincoln Square at Columbus & 65th Street) or the Museum of Arts & Design (at Columbus Circle and Broadway). Both shops have great gifts for kids!

Make a stop on your way to the subway and shop for gifts at Turnstyle Underground Market. There are many cute shops and kiosks perfect for finding presents for the holidays, including jewelry, cosmetics, accessories, and toys.

Buy a gift for a bookworm at Shakespeare & Co. (2020 Broadway). There are plenty of options for readers, young and old! And if you're looking to make a music lover's holiday season this year, peruse the Juilliard Store (144 West 66th Street) and The Met Opera Shop (140 West 65th Street) for presents.
