LSBID Welcomes New Staff Member, Katherine Rivard
Aug 25, 2023At the end of August, the Lincoln Square BID welcomed Katherine Rivard as the team’s new Senior Program Manager. Originally from Buffalo, NY, Katherine moved to D.C. to complete her Bachelor’s degree in Culture and Politics from Georgetown University. She worked in the capital as a communications specialist for a nonprofit responsible for supporting the national parks, but in her free time, she attended local events about city policies and explored the city. Recognizing her passion for urban planning and long having dreamed of moving to NYC, she moved to Brooklyn in 2019 and completed a Masters in Urban Planning at NYU Wagner School of Public Service.
Most recently, Katherine worked at a NYC-based urban planning consulting firm on a range of transportation projects in the city, state, and New Jersey. She is now excited to bring her planning expertise to the Lincoln Square. As Senior Program Manager, she will be responsible for ensuring that the Lincoln Square BID stays abreast of policies that affect the area, accurately capturing neighborhood data, and supporting the team as needed. Katherine shares our goal to make sure Lincoln Square is a safe, beautiful, and vibrant neighborhood for residents and visitors alike.
If you see Katherine on the street, be sure to stop and say hello! She is always eager to hear concert recommendations, street design ideas, or your favorite aspect of the neighborhood. You can also email her at krivard@lincolnsquarebid.org.
