LSBID Welcomes New VP of Operations, Aquilino Cabral

In November, the Lincoln Square BID welcomed Aquilino Cabral - our new Vice President of Operations - to the staff. Aquilino comes to the BID with over 18 years of management experience in both the public and private sector. Most recently, he worked as the General Manager at GrowNYC, a nonprofit in New York City responsible for promoting regional agriculture and ensuring a continuing supply of fresh local produce for New Yorkers. In this role, he oversaw operations and logistics for Union Square’s bustling outdoor farmer's market. Aquilino dealt with many quality of life matters, including security, sanitation, and homelessness, and worked closely with many of the same City agencies we deal with, all of which should serve our organization and Lincoln Square well.

Aquilino holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from The City College of New York and a Masters of Social Work Degree, with a specialization in organizational management and leadership, from The Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. In his free time, he enjoys hikes in nature, Broadway shows, and dining out.
