Manhattan D.A. Bragg Combats Illegal Cannabis Dispensaries

The Lincoln Square BID is pleased to report that Manhattan D.A. Bragg is partnering with New York City Mayor Eric Adams, local law enforcement, and elected officials to combat the increasing number of illegal, unlicensed cannabis dispensaries in Manhattan. He announced this partnership on February 7 and shared that his office mailed letters to over 400 known Smoke Shops in Manhattan to warn them that commercial tenants who unlawfully sell cannabis risk eviction proceedings from their owners and landlords. Read the press release and find out more here.

Fortunately, as far as we know, there are no illegal Smoke Shops within the boundaries of the Lincoln Square BID, but if you would like to report an incident, such as a business illegally selling cannabis products elsewhere, to the New York State Office of Cannabis Management, click here. Note that there are currently only four licensed adult-use cannabis dispensaries in the entire state of New York, which you can view here.
