The 2024 New York Asian Film Festival at FLC

The 23rd edition of the New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF),  presented by the New York Asian Film Foundation and Film at Lincoln Center (FLC), is set to bring an electrifying array of Asian cinema to the Big Apple. This year’s NYAFF will run at FLC’s Walter Reade Theater (165 West 65th Street) from July 1222 and feature more than 90 new and classic titles from all over the continent as well as North America.

Attendees can look forward to a diverse lineup, ranging from blockbuster hits to indie gems, including an amplified number of films focusing on LGBTQ+ characters and themes. Opening night will showcase the world premiere of Victory, directed by Park Beom-su of South Korea. The centerpiece presentation is a showing of The Killers, directed by Lee Myung-Se, Chang Hang-jun, Kim Jong-kwan, and Roh Deok. The closing film will be a North American premiere of Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In, directed by Soi Cheang of Hong Kong. You can see the full schedule here and the lineup of films here.

NYAFF continues July 22–28 at the SVA Theatre, with special weekend screenings and one-night-only programming from July 13–15, 18–21, and 23–25 at LOOK Cinemas W57, as well as a special collaborative presentation of hit films at the Korean Cultural Center New York on July 13–27.
