Welcome (Back) to the Neighborhood, Viam, We Will Miss You, Innovation Luggage!
Jul 22, 2022While the Lincoln Square BID is sorry to see our building mates go, we are very glad they aren’t moving too far away. Viam, a Robotics Software startup, recently moved into a much larger location at 1900 Broadway in Lincoln Square. The company clearly loved our neighborhood so much that it couldn’t bear to part ways with our cultural, entertainment, and dining offerings. You can often see Viam employees utilizing our own Dante Park for lunch meetings. This proves that Lincoln Square is not only a great place to live but also a great place to work, as well as a real mixed-use district.
Viam, founded by Eliot Horowitz, signed a 10-year lease for the 54,000 square foot office space, which covers the entire 6th floor of the building owned by Ogden CAP Properties. The new headquarters for the company includes multiple conference and meeting rooms, a café, a wellness room, and prime views of Lincoln Center.
On a sad note, Innovation Luggage at 2001 Broadway will be closing down as of July 31, 2022. We do, however, take this as a good sign that the rumors are true about Morton Williams Supermarket opening on the ground floor of Dorchester Towers, as reported by the West Side Rag.
There are more commercial spaces available in Lincoln Square if you are looking for a place to open your business. Our summertime concerts provide a great lunch break activity. We would love for you to join us here!
