The National Jazz Museum in Harlem offers an ongoing educational series sharing the treasures of The Savory Collection. While it was their records that established the great swing bands of the 1930’s and 40’s, it was the exciting live radio broadcasts they made every night that spread their reputation around the country. Join us every Monday at 3:00pm when we will create our own Make Believe Ballroom with appearances by Benny Goodman, Cab Calloway, Teddy Wilson, Earl Hines, Glenn Miller, Louis Armstrong, and many of the other superb big bands of the day. Imagine radio broadcasts by these giants that were unheard for over 40 years!
