A Community Event with Deputy Inspector Timothy Malin
On Wednesday morning March 6, The Lincoln Square BID partnered with TD Bank for a Community Breakfast event featuring Deputy Inspector Timothy Malin, the Commanding Officer of the 20th Precinct. DI Malin, who has spent almost 20 years in the NYPD and came to the 20th Precinct almost a year ago, spoke to a standing room only crowd of local residents, business owners, nonprofit representatives, local leaders and security professionals about the Neighborhood Policing program, which has been launched throughout the City. The program is designed to engage the community and free up officers to focus on and solve local problems. As part of this program, the 20th Precinct has been divided into three sectors with Sector A serving the Lincoln Square BID and each sector having dedicated Neighborhood Coordination Officers (NCOs). After his remarks, Malin took questions from the audience and urged everyone who had not already met our NCOs to reach out to them. Our NCOs are PO Bridget Fanning and PO Roberto Vasquez and they reachable via email at Roberto.Vasquez@nypd.org and Bridget.Fanning@nypd.org

Thank you to DI Malin for speaking and to TD Bank--especially Store Manager Victor Rodriguez--for opening its doors to the community and for providing a tasty breakfast spread for attendees. Click here to see photos on our Flickr account from the event
