A Fun Friday at Home
It's Friday! The weekend is just ahead of us and Lincoln Square is still full of virtual fun to be had as we enjoy the day. Check out the activities and events below to turn your Friday into a Fri-yay.

Ease into your day with relaxing meditation soundtracks curated by lululemon. The playlist, which you can listen to any time, features meditative breathing exercises with ambient sounds. You can start off the day with a calmness and peacefulness. Click here for the Soundcloud playlist

At lunchtime, grab a bite and take a seat to enjoy #OnlineEncores from Kaufman Music Center. Tune into Kaufman Music Center's social channels, where they'll be posting some favorite moments from the current season's performances daily.

Fridays are a favorite museum day around the City, and still can be even from home all for free. Browse the American Folk Art Museum revamped and growing online collection. Each blog post details facts and history about each of the pieces. Browse by collection or artist and take a customized virtual museum tour! Also, did you know that 95% of the Museum of Arts & Design's permanent collection is accessible online with high resolution images?  Now is the perfect time to spend an afternoon enjoying works from the museum, which are organized by material. You can also visit the New York Public Library's digital collections site to view digitized Harold Prince content from the current exhibit at the Library for Performing Arts. There are thousands of photographs from both rehearsals and productions of several Prince musicals to look through and more. Check it out here.

After a museum or two, you'll probably be hungry and ready for happy hour. Let Rosa Mexicano help you out! Order some food for pick-up and enjoy margaritas to-go. Click here for the menu. Perfect for happy hour, each margarita order serves two and there are a few delicious flavors to choose from like pomegranate or spicy mango. If you really love what you drink, you can check out Rosa's recipe page where you can learn how to make the restaurant's Pomegranate Margarita and La Tradicional Margarita. Just don't forget to order the guacamole! During your personal happy hour, you can tune into Lincoln Center's virtual streaming of Joe Iconis & Family's performance for American Songbook, premiering at 5:30pm here .

As happy hour comes to a close, cozy up on your couch or in bed for a nightly streaming from The Metropolitan Opera's Live in HD series for free. At 7:30pm, head to the Met Opera website to watch the Friday, May 1 opera, a viewer's choice pick: Verdi's Aida, an opera set in the Old Kingdom of Egypt.

Friday is still a great day of the week! Enjoy this Friday with events, drinks, and fun from the comfort of your own space and check out our Events Calendar for more virtual fun in Lincoln Square. Plus, next Friday, May 8 you can enjoy Free Music Fridays again with the American Folk Art Museum through the museum's Facebook live.
