All That Jazz This Fall

New York City is known for its longstanding jazz community, and you can watch some of the finest musicians of the genre perform right here in Lincoln Square! Dizzy’s Club at Jazz at Lincoln Center (JALC) is back in full swing, bringing live music to in-person audiences on an almost-nightly basis! Check out the following upcoming October performances below.

Mike LeDonne Trio with Ron Carter and Joe Farnsworth will be performing at Dizzy’s Club this Friday, October 15 and Saturday, October 16 at 7:30pm and 9:30pm both nights. A talented pianist and organist, LeDonne will be joined by Ron Carter on bass and Joe Farnsworth on drums, so it’s guaranteed to be a virtuosic evening of swinging jazz.

Bronx-native Jazz vocalist Samara Joy will be taking the stage on Sunday, October 17 at 7:30pm and 9:30pm. Christian Sands Trio is headlining next Thursday, October 21 through Saturday, October 23 at 7:30pm and 9:30pm each night. Sands, a five-time Grammy Award nominee, will be joined by special guests each night!

At just 25, vocalist Ashley Pezzotti and Her Trio will be wowing audiences on Sunday, October 24 at 7:30pm and 9:30pm. And to close out the month, Jeremy Pelt, one of this generation’s leading band leaders and trumpeters, will be performing on Thursday, October 28 through Saturday, October 30 at 7:30pm and 9:30pm. Pelt will be performing music from Griot: This is Important!, his newest release that honors his forebears and sheds light on the meaning of the music and the motivations of those who devote their lives to it.

To attend these in-person performances at Dizzy’s Club, you must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination. Tickets range from $35-45, and Dizzy’s also offers $20 tickets for students. Click here to check out the entire calendar of upcoming performances.

Additionally, beginning this fall, Jazz at Lincoln Center will be celebrating its 34th concert season, kicking off with a birthday celebration for Wynton Marsalis, Wynton at 60, on Thursday, November 18 at 8:00pm. Find JALC's full 2021-22 season here.
