Apply for City Artist Corps Grants

In May, Mayor de Blasio and Cultural Affairs Commissioner Gonzalo Casals announced the New York City Artist Corps, a $25 million program that will support artists who live and work in NYC, while giving New Yorkers opportunities to experience cultural programming across the city starting this summer. Through a number of program partners, City Artist Corps will provide thousands of grants to support artist projects in all disciplines across all five boroughs.

City Artist Corps Grants, developed in partnership with the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA), will support NYC-based working artists who have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. The program will distribute one-time $5,000 grants to more than 3,000 artists to help them sustain their practice and host creative engagement activities to the public across New York City this summer and fall, beginning in July. Artists working in any discipline are eligible to apply.

City Artist Corps Grants will roll out over the summer in various cycles. Application Cycle 1 recently opened on Tuesday, June 8 and will close on Tuesday, June 22. Recipients of the grants for Cycle 1 will be notified on Friday, July 2.
