Art of the Reel: Counter Encounters

Coming soon to Film at Lincoln Center, don’t miss the unique three-day showcase of innovative nonfiction and hybrid filmmaking. The eighth edition of this festival, Art of the Reel, will take place from Friday, November 19 to Sunday, November 21 and will present one feature and 41 shorts by acclaimed filmmakers from around the world. The collection of works, subtitled “Counter Encounters”, is a cinephile’s letter to ethnography, inviting consideration by everyone interested in balancing cultural narratives through self-reflection and reinvention and by reinventing the art of the reel itself. Tickets for the general public are $15, with special prices for members, seniors, students, and persons with disabilities. Click here for tickets.
