BAAND Together Dance Festival
Jul 24, 2023This week at Lincoln Center’s Summer for the City, five of NYC’s most iconic dance companies—Ballet Hispánico, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, and Dance Theatre of Harlem— will join together on one stage for the BAAND Together Dance Festival. For five nights in a row, from Tuesday, July 25 through Saturday, July 29, Damrosch Park will feature a collaborative and exciting program curated by the artistic directors of each of the companies. Audiences can enjoy the performances at 7:30pm each night, which will include Other Dances by Jerome Robbins (American Ballet Theatre), The Times Are Racing by Justin Peck (New York City Ballet), and more. Additionally, people of all ages can attend Education Workshops at 5:00pm offered every afternoon of the festival. Ballet Hispánico will teach a variety of Latin social dance forms like salsa, merengue, and more on Tuesday, July 25, while former members of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will lead an exploration of Ronald K.
