new york absentee ballot request

While we are in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, we can still make sure our voices are being heard from home.

As of mid-August, just over 56% of New Yorkers have completed the Census. The Census is free, safe, and accessible. You can complete the Census online or by phone or mail. Fill out the Census here and get counted! And, check out a special message on the Census from American Ballet Theatre principal dancer, Misty Copeland.

Additionally, Governor Cuomo announced the expansion of absentee ballots for the United States General Election in November. Voters are now allowed to request an absentee ballot if they cannot show up at a polling location because of the risk of contracting or spreading an illness, such as COVID-19. You must postmark, apply online, email or fax a completed application for an absentee ballot by October 27, 2020. You may apply in-person by November 2, 2020. Ballots will be mailed beginning on/after September 18, 2020. Click here to learn more on how to apply for an absentee ballot. Fill out the absentee ballot application online form here.
