With New York City theaters closed for the rest of the year, you may be missing nights out to see your favorite musicals and plays. As part of their Broadway at Home Series, PBS’s Great Performances is keeping the theatrical spirit alive!

Every Friday at 9:00pm, Great Performances, produced by WNET, will be airing a different theater favorite to your home TV. On July 31, revisit the 2017 revival of Noel Coward’s Present Laughter. The series continues on August 7, when PBS will present In the Heights: Chasing Broadway Dreams, a documentary that chronicles the personal stories of Tony-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda and the cast in the months leading up to the 2008 opening night of the Tony-award winning production. And, the Public Theater’s 2019 Shakespeare in the Park production of Much Ado About Nothing will air August 14, and the revival of Rodger’s and Hammerstein’s The King and I on August 21.

PBS programming will be available for streaming on all station-branded PBS platforms, including PBS.org and the PBS Video App, available on iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Chromecast. PBS station members will be available to view all episodes via Passport (check your local PBS station for details).
