Build the Block Meetings Build Community

Oct 2, 2019
Neighborhood Coordination Officers Fanning and Vasquez pose in uniform
The NYPD's Neighborhood policing policy ensures police have real relationships and accountability in the neighborhoods where they work each day through Neighborhood Coordination Officers (NCOs). These officers host Build the Block safety meetings to jumpstart the dialogue between cops and community members to create real working relationships discussing neighborhood issues. These meetings are a terrific way for local residents, nonprofit organizations, and businesses to communicate effectively with the NYPD and keep up to date with what's happening around Lincoln Square and the Upper West Side. We encourage our district members to attend Build the Block meetings. Our neighborhood resides within Sector A of the 20th Precinct, and our NCOs are Officers Vasquez and Fanning. Sector A covers the area between West 70th Street and West 59th Street and Central Park West over to the Hudson.

The next meeting for this Upper West Side area (20th Precinct) will take place on Thursday, October 10 at 21 West End Avenue (residential building basement) at 7:00pm. Click here to download/view the flyer. If you are in Sector A, join other community members and connect with our NCOs! You can follow the 20th precinct on twitter as well to stay up-to-date with meetings and neighborhood information.
