This year, Hanukkah will begin on SundayDecember 22. As you prepare to celebrate the holiday with friends and family, you can also enjoy two shows packed with music and Hanukkah cheer on Sunday, December 15 at Kaufman Music Center's Merkin Hall.

At 11:00am, bring the whole family to a delightful, kid-friendly musical titled "Judy & the Maccabees: A Family Hanukkah Musical". This musical re-imagines the ancient Hanukkah story, wherein Judy is a feisty young girl who leaves her father to help the Maccabees in their fight for religious freedom. Plus, audience members will be able to participate in an interactive Hanukkah musical piece featuring an ensemble from Kaufman Music Center's teen new music program. Tickets are just $25 per person. Click here for details

In the evening at 7:30pm, enjoy songs for the holiday with the performance "Zamir Chorale, Zamir Noded: Hanukkah and More". The program will feature these two notable choir ensembles performing works celebrating Hanukkah and more, with traditional holiday favorites as well as recent works commissioned through the Zamir Choral Foundation's Mandell Rosen Fund for New Music. Tickets are $50 per person with a discount offered to students. Click here for more details
