Celebrate the 2018 Lunar New Year
It's the year of the Dog! If you're looking to celebrate the Chinese New Year, which begins Friday, February 16, you can enjoy dinner, a show, and goodies in Lincoln Square, plus visit our colleagues for a wonderful public celebration. 
 
Shun Lee West at 43 West 65th Street is offering a special menu in celebration of the Chinese New Year from Thursday, February 15 through Saturday, February 24. For $80 per person, guests can enjoy a 5-course tasting menu, featuring a selection of savory appetizers, classic Beijing Duck, braised Short Ribs, tiramisu, and more. On Lincoln Center's Campus at David Geffen Hall, the New York Philharmonic is hosting a Lunar New Year Concert and Gala on Tuesday, February 20 at 7:30pm. Experience Beethoven's grand Choral Fantasy with 13-year-old pianist Serena Wang and the Farmers' Chorus of the Yunnan Province (farmers from the mountains of southern China), appearing outside China for the first time ever. And the concert will showcase a Ricochet performance, featuring ping pong champions, violin, and percussion. Tickets begin at $35 and can be purchased here. Also, guests can contact specialevents@nyphil.org to get information about attending a pre-concert champagne reception and a post-concert seated dinner with the artists. 
 
In The Shops at Columbus Circle, celebrate the Year of the Dog with Sugarfina's Chinese New Year Candy Collection. In their kiosk on the ground floor, purchase a Chinese New Year 2-piece Bento Box and receive a complimentary pack of celebratory envelopes. On Saturday, February 10, Mogenthal Frederics, likewise located on the ground floor, will be offering dog treats and refreshments for your pooch to celebrate the year of the Dog. Elsewhere on the ground floor, stop by Diptyque and receive a set of 8 gold-foil dog print red money envelopes with any purchase over $88. This promotion is valid through Saturday, February 17 while supplies last. Also on February 17, visit Diptyque to experience an origami specialist and calligrapher customizing envelopes with messages to celebrate the New Year. And, at Jo Malone London on the ground floor, customers will receive a red envelope and box sleeves with any purchase through Thursday, February 22 while supplies last.
