All NYC Adults Now Eligible for COVID-19 Booster

Dr. Dave Chokshi, Commissioner of the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, announced that all adult New Yorkers age 18 and older are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster shot. Adults can receive a shot if they are 6+ months out from their second Moderna/Pfizer dose or 2+ months out from their Johnson & Johnson shot. Find a vaccine booster here.

Last Day to Apply for New Year's Eve All-Night Permit

Today, November 16, is the last day for on-premises licensees (bars, taverns, restaurants, etc.) who seek to remain open after the county closing hours on New Year's Eve to apply for an an All-Night Permit with the State Liquor Authority. Apply here.

20th Precinct Community Council Meeting 11.18.21

The NYPD 20th Precinct will be having a Community Council meeting on Thursday, November 18 at 7:00pm (doors open at 6:30pm). Due to social distancing and limited space, a reservation is required. Call (212) 580-7843 to RSVP and for more information.

Central Park West Closed to Traffic 11.20.21

On Saturday, November 20, there will be a New York Freedom Rally on West 61st Street and Central Park West beginning at 12:00pm. The rally will then march south on Broadway. We understand that Central Park West may be closed to vehicular traffic that day up to West 70th Street. Contact 311 for more information.

Single Block Fair 11.21.21

On Sunday, November 21, there will be a single block fair benefitting the 20th Precinct Community Council on the east side of Broadway between West 60th and West 61st Streets from 10:00am - 6:00pm. Contact 311 for more information.

Tourism Return-to-Work Grant Program

Governor Hochul has announced a new “Bring Back Tourism, Bring Back Jobs” recovery package, which includes the Tourism Return-to-Work Grant Program. The goal of the program is to help support employment growth among businesses that attract and support tourism and suffered economic hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible business types are expected to include, but not be limited to: hotels, art and cultural organizations, entertainment businesses, amusement businesses, scenic and sightseeing tour operators, and other tourism businesses.

Free Breast Cancer Screening Van 12.8.21

Join Assemblymember Linda Rosenthal on Wednesday, December 8 for free mammogram screenings in front of her district office at 230 West 72nd Street (between Broadway & West End Avenue) from 9:00am - 4:30pm. The event is open to people aged 40-79 who have not had a mammogram in the past year. All insurances are accepted, and co-pays and deductibles are waived.
