Get Tested, Vaccinated & Boosted for COVID-19

COVID-19 is still a major concern for individual and public health. It is important to stay safe, get tested, and get vaccinated or boosted if you're eligible. People 5 and older are eligible for vaccination and vaccine booster shots are now authorized for everyone 12 and older who is fully vaccinated. Click here to find a COVID-19 testing site and here for a COVID-19 vaccination site.

New Third Party Delivery Service Laws

As of Monday, January 24, each Delivery App will require a license to operate in NYC. Restaurants will now have greater protections when they interact with Delivery Apps. However, restaurants also have a few new requirements they need to follow, including providing “toilet facility” access to food delivery workers who work for third-party delivery companies. COVID-19 Tests & Masks from Council Member Brewer 1.26.22

On Wednesday, January 26 at 5:00pm and until supplies run out, Council Member Gale Brewer is giving away free at-home COVID-19 tests and KN95 masks in front of her District Office at 563 Columbus Avenue (between 87th and 88th Streets). Each FlowFlex test kit contains one test. Limit two test kits per person. Each mask package contains 5 masks. Limit one mask package per person. Small Business Grants Resource Guide

The Manhattan Chamber released a resource guide outlining the eligibility requirements for various grants currently available for small businesses. The guide is available here. In addition, small businesses may book a free one-on-one, on-line consultation with the Chamber's Grant Specialist, Mo Luan, to learn more about these grants and receive help with the application processes. Appointments can be made here on a first come, first-served basis.

Temporary Liquor Licenses in NYC

Governor Hochul has signed a legislative package assisting new bars, restaurants and other alcoholic beverage businesses to open more quickly. The SLA will now be able to grant certain New York City businesses temporary liquor licenses, which only take about 30 days to process, depending on the type of application.

NYC DOT Off-Hour Deliveries Request for Proposals

NYC Department of Transportation is seeking Competitive Sealed Proposals for Consultant/Program Management Services in connection with the NYC DOT Off-Hour Deliveries Program. This Request for Proposals (RFP) is available through PASSPort, New York City’s online procurement portal. Access the application here, then click “Search Funding Opportunities in PASSPort” and type "84122M0002" into the Keyword search field. Proposals are due on Monday, February 28.

Alternate Side Parking Suspended on January 31-February 1

Alternate Side Parking (street cleaning) regulations will be suspended on Monday-Tuesday, January 31-February 1 for Lunar New Year's Eve and Lunar New Year. Meters will remain in effect. Click here to download the NYCASP calendar.
