TONIGHT: Planning for More Safe and Accessible Streets Workshop

The NYC Department of Transportation is holding a series of virtual public workshops so that residents can provide insights on the street safety issues that matter most to them. The workshop for Manhattan Community Boards 4 & 7 is tonight, July 13, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Click here to register.

Take a Survey on DOT Streets Master Plan

NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) is developing the NYC Streets Plan to improve the safety, accessibility, and quality of roadways. Click here to take the survey and provide input that will help prioritize transportation projects and programs in New York City's many neighborhoods.

Special Waste Drop-Off Sites Reopen

As of Saturday, July 10, the New York City Department of Sanitation's five Special Waste Drop-Off Sites have reopened. The sites, which have been closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, give residents a place to bring potentially harmful household items for proper disposal. The sites will be open from 10:00am - 5:00pm every Saturday and the last Friday of the month. Learn more here.

Apply for Second Cycle of City Artist Corps Grants

The second cycle of the City Artists Corps Grant to support NYC-based working artists is now open and will close Tuesday, July 20 at 10:00am. This cycle will support creative public engagement activities hosted from Friday, August 20 to Sunday, October 31, 2021. Grant recipients will receive notification of their award by Monday, August 2. Apply here.

Apply for NYS Emergency Rental Assistance

The New York State Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) will provide significant economic relief to help low and moderate-income households at risk of experiencing homelessness or housing instability by providing rental arrears, temporary rental assistance and utility arrears assistance. Landlords can also contact the NYS ERAP to help tenants who are unable to pay rent. Click here to apply.
