Fall 2020 Term at Swing University

Are you a jazz enthusiast who misses gathering to enjoy music? Although it is unknown when Jazz at Lincoln Center will be able to gather for live performances, they have announced the schedule for the upcoming Fall Term of Swing University. Classes will be fully online and livestreamed through Jazz’s website.

Swing University offers engaging virtual classes for jazz fans, enthusiasts, and students of all backgrounds and levels. The fun and informal classes are taught by industry experts like Seton Hawkins as well as members of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra including Vincent Gardner, Victor Goines, Sherman Irby, Ted Nash, and more. Explore jazz history, discuss new and classic tunes, and discover listening methods that will improve your concert experiences.

Classes begin Monday, October 19 and run through Tuesday, December 29. Options for this term include Jazz 101: A Beginner’s Guide to Jazz, History of Jazz Guitar, Ellington’s Masterworks, and more! Individual nights of class can be purchased for $10 per night. Alternatively, you can buy a subscription to the entire term (41 nights) for $175.
