Flower Craft at MAD Museum

Flower Craft at MAD Museum

April showers bring May flowers, and this May a new exhibit is opening at the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) paying homage to this springtime favorite. The exhibit, Flower Craft, celebrates the works of botanical artists at the forefront of contemporary floral design. These artists interpret nature in sculptural form, expressing different stages of a flower’s life cycle and utilizing inspiration from different artistic eras—from early modern European still life to the twenty-first-century digital realm. The exhibit will run from Saturday, May 14 to Sunday, June 26 and each week a different celebrated botanical artist will fill the Flower Craft gallery with arrangements or installations. Click here to read about the artists in the exhibit. You can buy museum tickets individually, or you can purchase a Flower Craft Power Pass Card for $45 (a $108 value) and see the installations of all six artists featured in the exhibition. Click here for tickets

The Flower Craft gallery will also function as a studio classroom for floral workshops, so audiences of all ages and skill levels will be able to explore floral creativity with an inspiring collective of artists and designers.
