The 59th New York Film Festival is underway at Film at Lincoln Center! While there are many great movies you can get tickets to see through Sunday, October 10, the Festival has also announced a lineup of free NYFF59 Talks.

NYFF59 Talks are split up into three categories. Deep Focus talks are in-depth dialogues with festival filmmakers and their collaborators. Events include a talk with Jane Campion on Saturday, October 2 at 4:00pm, and a talk with Ryûsuke Hamaguchi on Sunday, October 3 at 7:30pm. The second category, Crosscuts, focuses on conversations between filmmakers across festival sections, genres and styles. Check out a talk between Silvan Zürcher & Alexandre Koberidze on Saturday, October 2 at 7:00pm. Roundtables, the final category, are panels and discussions that connect the festival to the themes of the moment. Watch a talk on The Velvet Underground & the New York Avant-Garde on Sunday, October 3 at 4:00pm or a talk on the Festival Report on Saturday, October 9 at 7:00pm. View the entire NYFF59 Talks lineup here.

All of the FYFF59 Talks are free and open to the public. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis beginning one hour prior to each event at the corresponding box office at Film at Lincoln Center. Tickets are limited to one per person, subject to availability. Proof of vaccination and wearing a mask is required. For those unable to attend, video from these events will be available online on Film at Lincoln Center’s YouTube channel at a later date.
