The Juilliard School offers live cultural performances on a daily basis, bringing the best of the best in dance, drama and music to Lincoln Square. While some of these in-person performances do require you to purchase a ticket (at most a $40 cost), most of the events are free!

Notably, Juilliard will be participating in Carnegie Hall’s Afrofuturism Festival this Thursday, February 17 at 7:30pm. AXIOM, conducted by Juilliard faculty member Jeffrey Milarsky, is dedicated to performing masterworks of the 20th and 21st centuries. In an Afrofuturist program compiled in consultation with composer George Lewis, the concert features Lewis’s Assemblage, Marcos Balter’s Bladed Stance, Anthony Braxton’s Composition No. 46, and Tania León’s Indígena. If you are feeling comfortable to venture in to a theater, you can get free tickets to see the show live in Alice Tully Hall. However, the show will also be live streamed on Juilliard’s website. Additionally, Juilliard hosts a weekly Wednesdays at One free musical performance in Alice Tully Hall. The next Wednesdays at One features a Solo Piano performance this Wednesday, February 16 at 1:00pm.

If you are being cautious and would prefer to enjoy the performance from home, most of the performances are streamed live on Juilliard's website. Click here to view Juilliard’s full performance calendar to find an in-person or virtual performance to attend.
