Fresh Food for Seniors Available for $10
Jun 26, 2023The Fresh Food for Seniors program is back for its 11th year!
New Yorkers who are 65 and older have the opportunity to order a bag of locally-grown fresh produce that’s valued at $15 for only $10 from July through November. The program is pay-as-you-go, so it’s a great value with no need for a commitment—just a little advance planning. Sign-up is simple: pay $10 cash two weeks in advance, then get your produce on pickup day!
The next order date is July 5, for a pick up on July 19; the pattern continues every two weeks. The last order date will be October 25, and the final pickup date is November 8. Seniors can arrange to pick up their fresh produce at Goddard Riverside Older Adult Center (593 Columbus Avenue at 88th Street) between 1:00pm – 3:00pm, as well as these locations—but with different hours; call them for details:

Council Member Gale Brewer began the Fresh Food for Seniors program during her tenure as Borough President, and now it is continued in partnership with Borough President Mark Levine.
