All Adults Eligible for COVID-19 Vaccine Today

Beginning today, April 6, all New Yorkers 16 years and older are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Fully Vaccinated People Can Safely Travel through United States

The CDC has updated their travel guidelines, announcing that people who have been fully vaccinated are now safe to travel domestically through the United States. Learn more here.

Curfew for Movie Theaters, Gyms and More Lifted

As of Monday, April 5, the 11:00pm curfew for casinos, movie theaters, bowling alleys, billiards halls, gyms/fitness centers has been lifted. The 11:00pm curfew for food & beverage venues and the 12:00am curfew for catered events will remain in effect. Find more information here.

NYPD 20th Precinct Community Council Meeting 4.8.21

On Thursday, April 8, the NYPD 20th Precinct will be restarting their in-person Community Council meetings. Seats will be limited to adhere to COVID-19 guidelines. To attend, pre-register by calling (212) 580-6428. Time and location of meeting will be given at registration.

PPP Application Deadline Extended

President Biden has given a two-month extension to the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). The application deadline is now Monday, May 31. Learn more and apply here.

Restaurant Revitalization Act

The American Rescue Plan Act (ARP) was signed into law in March 2021, and included $28.6 billion for a Restaurant Revitalization Fund at the SBA to provide direct grant support for restaurants hit hardest by the pandemic. Check out this guide from Senator Schumer's office for more details on the Restaurant Revitalization Fund. 

DOB Sign Enforcement Moratorium Extended

DOB has extended an enforcement moratorium on certain accessory sign violations, as well as the temporary assistance program for accessory signs, through January 1, 2023. DOB will not issue violations for business storefront signs that existed prior to February 9, 2019 and that don’t exceed 150 square feet or weigh more than 1,200 pounds. Small Business Technical Assistance RFP

The Citi Foundation has announced a $25 million open request for proposals (RFP) to support nonprofit organizations that provide direct technical assistance to small businesses owned by people of color that have been disproportionately impacted by the unprecedented health, social and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The deadline to apply is Monday, April 12 at 4:00pm. Learn more here.
