New Travel Advisory

Governor Cuomo just announced a tristate travel advisory. All individuals traveling from states with significant community spread of COVID into NY, NJ, or CT must quarantine for 14 days. This travel advisory is effective midnight, Thursday, June 24.

Important Phase Two Guidance for Alcohol Sales

Governor Cuomo amended Executive Order 202.43 (EO) to include updated guidance for food and beverage establishments effective immediately. You can also watch the announcement here. Under this EO, businesses selling or serving alcohol to be consumed at the business or elsewhere must ensure that everyone within 100 feet of their business is: 
 
  • In compliance with open-container, social-distancing, and face-covering rules; and  
  • Following all existing rules, regulations, and laws. 
The EO states that businesses that cannot follow these guidelines must stop selling alcohol until they can. Violations could result in having a license suspended or revoked, with fines up to $10,000 per violation. Patrons can also be fined for breaking open container or social distancing rules. 
 

Alternate Side Parking Updates

Alternate Side Parking (ASP) regulations are suspended through Sunday, June 28, 2020. ASP regulations will be back in effect on June 29th, however, residential streets that have multiple ASP days will be cleaned – with vehicles required to be moved – only on the latest day in the week. Click here for more information. 
 

Summer Meal Hubs

Grab-and-go Meal Hubs will continue to operate through the summer as the City continues to fight food insecurity during the COVID-19 crisis. Starting on Monday, June 29, Meal Hub summer service will operate at approximately 400 sites across the city and continue regular service from 7:30am to 1:30pm, Monday through Friday. Click here for a press release about these updates.

DSNY Service Notice for July 4

The New York City Department of Sanitation announced that in observance of Independence Day, there will be no trash or recycling collection on Saturday, July 4. Click here for more information.
