Grow Up at NYPL's Riverside Branch
Headed to a job interview and need a professional bag? Invited to a wedding but can't find a tie for the occasion? Now, in addition to checking out great books, cardholders can rent professional accessories to help pull a look together for formal events, interviews, auditions, and other needs. Through the Grow Up Work Fashion Library program, the Riverside Branch has a mini lending library offering neckties, bow ties, briefcases, and handbags that adults and teens can use.

Cardholders who have low fines (less than $15) or no fines on their library cards can borrow items for a one-time, three-week lending period. Click here to view a flyer for the new program. Anyone interested in donating ties, handbags and briefcases in good condition can contact Michelle Lee at the library via email:michellelee@nypl.org

For more information about the NYPL Grow Up work accessories lending library, stop by the Riverside Library at 127 Amsterdam Ave (at 65th Street). The Library also has information sheets on job interview tips, free career resources and suggested books, and websites and organizations that can help with professional fashion advice and attire. Visit the second floor information desk, talk to a librarian, and check it out!
