Governor Cuomo has announced that restaurants in New York City may resume indoor dining at 25% of their capacity beginning Sunday, February 14. The Governor had limited eateries to takeout and outdoor dining in December, when COVID-19 infection rates began spiking. The postholiday surge in virus infections statewide has tapered off this month, from a high of nearly 8% to the current rate of 4.6%. The reopening will be subject to state guidance, which can be found here.

Additionally, the Governor also announced that marriage receptions will be able to resume in accordance with state guidance on Monday, March 15. Events must be approved by the local health department. There will be a 50% capacity limit and no more than 150 people can attend the event. All patrons must be tested prior to the event.
