Labor Day Sanitation Service Changes

The New York City Department of Sanitation announced that in observance of Labor Day, there will be no garbage, recycling, or organics collection, nor street cleaning on Monday, September 2, 2019. Residents who normally receive Monday trash or organics collection should place their material out at curbside after 4 p.m. on Monday, September 2 for pickup. Residents who normally receive Monday recycling collection should place their material out at curbside after 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 8 for pickup on Monday, September 9. Additionally, all Sanitation Department administrative offices will be closed on Monday, September 2 in observance of the holiday.
