LCT SPOTLIGHT SERIES

Lincoln Center Theater (LCT) is bringing a whole new line-up of digital programming for their 2020-21 season with their SPOTLIGHT SERIES, featuring LCT artists in digital performance and discussion.

The series will kick off on Tuesday, November 17 at 9:00pm with a celebration of the digital release of the original cast recording of Grace McLean’s new musical IN THE GREEN. Evan Cabnet, Artistic Director of LCT3, which commissioned and eventually premiered the musical in the summer of 2019, will host the Lucille Lortel Award winner’s performance of songs from her critically acclaimed work, after which questions will be taken from viewers. LCT SPOTLIGHT SERIES continues with Lileana Blain-Cruz in Conversation: On Directing at LCT on Thursday, December 3 at 7:00pm, featuring LCT’s newly appointed Resident Director in conversation with fellow director Saheem Ali, who directed the LCT production of The Rolling Stone. On Thursday, December 17 at 6:00pm, THE COAST OF UTOPIA playwright Tom Stoppard and director Jack O’Brien reunite with actors Billy Crudup, Jennifer Ehle, Ethan Hawke, Brían F. O’Byrne and Martha Plimpton for a very special cast reunion to talk about their experiences working on LCT’s production of Stoppard’s trilogy. And, on Thursday, January 14 at 8:00pm, Playwrights David Adjmi, Ayad Akhtar, Sarah Ruhl and James Lapine, director Jack O’Brien and actor Andrew Rannells will be reading from their own non-theatrical works at LCT’s Turning the Page: LCT Artists Read Their Own Poetry and Prose event.
