Lighthouse Guild Expands Services

It has been a difficult time to deal with COVID-19 the past few months, but for those visually impaired, it has been even more challenging. Lighthouse Guild is here to help! As NYC re-opens, Lighthouse Guild (250 West 64th Street) continues to increase access to their programs and services by expanding their offerings.

Lighthouse Guild’s Adult Tele-Support Group, launched in June, has already expanded, with the addition of their Young Adults Group, ages 20 to 34, focusing of vocational, family and life challenges. Click here to view information on the Adult Tele-Support Group and here for the Young Adult Tele-Support Group.

They are also continuing to provide Behavioral Health services via telephone and video calling. Online eLearning programs continue to offer educational resources for all, with CE’s for professionals. Low vision examinations are being provided, with limits on occupancy and strict adherence to social distancing and safety requirements.

All other Lighthouse Guild services are being provided to the extent possible, with a combination of both remote and direct contacts. Some in-person services are being provided in their Health Center, Behavioral Health Center and Vocational Rehabilitation program.
