There's no shortage of terrific and free programming in Lincoln Square, but during the summer especially, Lincoln Center's campus is home to a special two-week series of free outdoor festivities: Lincoln Center Out of Doors!

The 49th edition of Lincoln Center Out of Doors begins on Wednesday, July 24 and continues through Sunday, August 11, with music, spoken word, family events and dance. The schedule is packed with a diverse range of artistic performances, even including a light-based arts procession! Out of Doors opens with a Black History 101 Mobile Museum, an expansive collection of over 7,000 original artifacts dating from the trans-Atlantic slave trade era to modern-day hip-hop culture, on Wednesday, July 24 from 4:00pm - 9:00pm. This year's series also includes: Wilco frontman Jeffy Tweedy, David Crosby & Friends with Anaïs Mitchell, NPR Music's Turning the Tables Live with readings  by Angela Davis and Sonia Sanchez and eight female arists' music, and more! Click here to see a full schedule of events
