Lincoln Square (Taylor’s Version)

Dear reader, if you’ve been paying attention to pop news lately, you probably know all too well that Taylor Swift is having an enchanted year. Set to have the biggest tour of all time, Swift has proved a mastermind of the entertainment industry by also releasing a concert film of The Eras Tour, which is now the number one concert film of all time. If you thought Lincoln Square could remain untouchable from the fanfare, think again.

Perhaps, due to treacherous circumstances, you did not get tickets to an Eras Tour concert. Maybe you were one of the lucky ones who attended and want to re-live the experience. Do not fret because the box office smash hit, ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,’ is playing at AMC Lincoln Square 13 (1998 Broadway at W 68th Street). You can get tickets online to see if it hits different this time around or lives up to your wildest dreams. The film is only showing Thursday through Sunday, and Taylor Swift Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing, and dancing are all encouraged!

For Eras attire inspiration, keep your eyes open while checking out the Taylor Swift: Storyteller exhibition at the Museum of Arts and Design (2 Columbus Circle). Now through March 24, visitors can view iconic costumes, props, and jewelry from some of Taylor Swift’s music videos and on-stage performances, as well as projections of music videos. Items on display include the cheerleader and ballerina ensembles from the award-winning music video for “Shake it Off” (2014) and the red wedding dress and bellhop uniform from “I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault).” To view the exhibition, you must buy a timed entry ticket for $25, which also includes general admission to the museum. Groups of 10 or more can enjoy discounted admissions of $20 per person, while private guided group tours cost $40 per person. MAD’s resident “Swiftie” leads the private guided tours of the exhibition and gives a deep dive into Swift’s music history and fashion choices. The 30-minute tours are only available Friday through Sunday, with an eight-person minimum and a 25-person maximum. You can reserve group tickets, including the private group tour, by emailing tours@madmuseum.org.

Once you visit the exhibition, our Neighborhood Guide has all the information you need to see where you can find pieces to ensure you polish up real nice for the movie. Bonus points if you listen to 1989 (Taylor’s Version), set to release on October 27, while you shop.

Call it what you want, but Lincoln Square is most definitely in its Taylor Swift Era!
