Lead Public Safety Supervisor Henry Settles is a familiar face to many around the neighborhood. Henry has been a member of the Lincoln Square BID's Public Safety Team for over 20 years and is a dedicated Public Safety Supervisor. The company through which we currently contract our Public Safety Officers, Summit Security, has awarded Henry Settles a Regional Achievement Award this month. The Regional Achievement Award is given to security professionals employed by Summit who have performed exceptionally well in their duties. We have recognized Henry many times over the years but this is the first time that our security contractor has recognized one of their officers assigned to our account for being a dedicated and hardworking team member. We are very happy to have Henry on our team helping us keep Lincoln Square clean, safe, and welcoming.

Additionally, our Director of Operations, Phil Gordon, was selected for the Coro Neighborhood Leadership Program. Beginning this month, this program provides participants with the resources they need to understand how to influence meaningful change and address complex challenges within their neighborhoods. Using New York as a classroom, Neighborhood Leadership participants are deeply immersed in commercial revitalization strategies and are given the opportunity to build leadership skills through intensive training and peer-to-peer learning. This program will provide our Director of Operations with professional development skills and enable him to better serve the Lincoln Square neighborhood and the Lincoln Square BID.
