Lunchtime Concert Series 2019

A band plays in Richard Tucker Park during the summer concert series

Summer afternoon concerts are back in Lincoln Square! Partnering for another season with the MTA Arts & Design's Music Under New York (MTA MUSIC), and thanks to sponsorship support from TD Bank, the Lincoln Square BID is bringing free entertainment to the neighborhood with the wildly popular annual Lunchtime Concert Series. Now in its 12th year, the concerts take place every Wednesday, rain or shine, beginning July 3 through August 28, from noon until 2:00pm in Richard Tucker Park at Broadway and 66th Street. The series will feature a wide range of music genres, from global funk to jazz to alternative rock! Plus, in between performances, music lovers can stretch and relax with free and gentle restorative yoga sessions by instructors from the West Side Y-a great way to relax during lunch. Whole Foods Market will sponsor free product samples during each performance. The schedule is listed below: 

July 3: Jazz- America’s music

July 10: Brass Bands

July 17: The Andes to Colombia

12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. RAICES GROUP (Andean and Native music)

July 24: Low down & Rock

July 31: Cajun and Gypsy

August 7: Roll over Beatles, Beach Boys & Beethoven

August 14: Global Groove

August 21: Country and Roots

Also, after our concerts end, great music continues just across Columbus Avenue at 2:00pm in the American Folk Art Museum with Jazz + Wednesdays, free concerts by the Bill Wurtzel Trio. Click here for upcoming programming.
